Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Bespik ("we", "our", "us") operates the pronunciation coaching service at bespik.com. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the service, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data we collect

• Audio and video recordings. When you record or upload a clip, we send it to our transcription service to produce a text transcript. The media file is not persisted after transcription.
• Practice attempt data. Transcripts, IPA analysis results, and clarity scores are stored for up to 30 days so you can review your progress. After 30 days this data is automatically deleted.
• Account information (authenticated users). If you sign in with Auth0, we receive your email address and display name from Auth0 OAuth. We use this solely to link your practice history to your account.
• Session cookies (guest users). Guest users receive a session cookie to track their daily credit usage (up to 3 free attempts). No personal information is stored in this cookie.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to collect aggregate, anonymised usage data (page views, session counts). No audio content is included in analytics.

• → To show you your past practice history (authenticated users)
• → To improve the service through anonymised aggregate analytics

We do not sell your data, use it to train AI models, or share it with third parties other than as described in Section 4.

Practice attempt data (transcripts, IPA results, scores) is retained for 30 days then automatically deleted. Account information is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@bespik.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Bespik is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will delete the data promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
